About Elberton
|
Founded in 1803, Elberton is one of the oldest, and most historic, cities in Georgia. The town of some six thousand sits in the center of rural Elbert County between the beautiful Broad and mighty Savannah Rivers. Elberton is a city proud of its history and heritage, as is evidenced by the numerous societies and organizations dedicated to the preservation of the town's past, one of which is Main Street Elberton. Main Street Elberton has worked with business owners to rent, renovate, and sell buildings, landscape the downtown area, plan/promote events, and much, much more.
