Friends of
the National Guard Armory Auditorium Restoration
The
most direct way of joining in the restoration activities is to join
the Friends of the National Guard Museum and Conference &
Welcome Center, and either submit donations directly, or purchase
some of the items on sale at the Elbert County Historical Society.
Friends are a group that exists to promote the restoration of the
Armory Auditorium and
promote the establishment of the Museum, and Conference &
Welcome Center. Its Society members help to organize fund-raising,
publicity, and volunteers. Membership is open to all those
interested in the activities of the restoration, the furnishings,
and the artifacts needed for the museum. All donations are tax
deductible.

Restoration, PO Box 1033, Elberton, Georgia 30635 ( A receipt
will be given for tax purposes)

donation in money or in-kind services to support Museum
activities/ restoration/ furnishings

Friends of the Museum (to be announced)

County historic artifacts, manuscripts
or email:

to inquire about details of the restoration, funding, or
donations.
We can accept
"National Guard" or "Elbert County" collections
only when they contribute to the priorities that we have established
because our storage space and other curatorial resources are
limited. By accepting your National Guard or Elbert County
collection, we accept responsibility for maintaining and documenting
if for local and worldwide community of scholars. When appropriate,
donations of objects are valued by an outside specialist, and we
issue a tax receipt based on this evaluation. Relevant photographs
are accepted.
Different
graduating classes may contribute as a group and will be recognized
accordingly. (Note: We have three graduating classes already.)
Different groups
may request special recognition and after the final restoration of
the building you will be recognized as part of this group according
to the wished of the group. However, the Steering Committee will
have to decide how this will be done. Please list all donation
member of this group.
